Betagen

I am currently taking EAS Betagen, which is a combination of HMB and Phosphagen, and I have experienced no significant strength gains yet, and this is my third month on the stuff. It has also given me the runs.

Are you drinking enough water? That is one problem that I have, and think that this may be the reason I haven't experienced gains using Creatine in a liquid form. I'm going to try Betagen, but I will definitely make sure I'm doing the workout, eating the right stuff, and drinking the water. I was just wanting to know if you have done all these things---I know a lot of this stuff is just hype, and I don't want to spend the dough on some crappy stuff. Let me know some more of what you have experienced--if you don't mind.
Thanks,
Steve

I take betagen before workouts, and it works for me. I have more strength and I do see the results. Surely, I drink all the water I need and eat right. And I take 3 portions a day. One during lunch and the others before and after working out. It doesn't matter what product it is. If you don't follow the instructions, you'll never see the results.

Betagen worked great for me. However, everyone's body is different. I've learned that to have the most luck with supplements, adjust your dose to fit your body and your activities, but never go over the maximum recommended dose. I think it's worth the money though, once your body gets used to it (n a few days). You'll see results, you'll feel better and won't be so sore the next day after intense workouts. I do recommend breaking the dose up throughout the day, because if you take to much at one time or not drink enough water, you will get the runs!
Also, creatine didn't work for me either, but I was told that it was because I wasn't taking in enough sugar with the creatine. It needs to bond with a sugar molecule to become effective. Try using a fruitier juice. And just for the record, I gained 12 pounds of muscle in one month with betagen.
