Consumer Review: I Encountered Dramatic Increases In Muscle Strength And Size For The First 1.5 Months That I Used Creatine. Then, I Hit A Plateau.

I have been taking creatine now for about 3 months. I encountered dramatic increases in muscle strength and size in the first 1.5 months. It seems now I have reached a certain plateau. Is this normal and are all these side effects of creatine scientifically proven? What is the optimal protein supplement? I am 5-10 180, looking to burn about 3% body fat and make greater gains in muscle mass.

Response # 1

It sounds as if you are in the same situation I've been in for the last 5 months. Here's my advice. I'm 6' 5", 195 pounds, 7 percents body fat. 5 months ago I was 6' 5", 240 pounds, 18 percent body fat. I achieved this by doing the zone diet, (5 days on, two days off), for a month. I also was running 3 miles, twice a day, 5 days a week. After the zone diet I had lost an initial 20 pounds and was very excited to lose more. I then started weight training, while continuing my cardio sessions.

I started to take creatine and continued to do so for about 1 1/2 months. I also began taking Ripped Fuel. The combination of these two made me very energetic and provided me with up to 5 times my normal energy capacity. I also began taking Shaklee Soy Protein and numerous other Shaklee supplements, such as Vitamin E, and B-complex. I plan to get back on the creatine plan soon, but for now I am enjoying doing things the natural way!
