Creatine

I was taking creatine for a month. I found it to have great results and an interesting thing happened to me. I went out one saturday night and got quite drunk. Usually, I have to spend the next day in bed trying to figure out if it was worth it or not. To my surprise, I was feeling fine and had no problems continuing my normal routine. I really believe that creatine had something to do with this. What do you think?

I am not a doctor, but believe that the two DO NOT mix together. I have heard of several horror stories from drinking while on Creatine. Creatine requires your body to be sufficiently hydrated to help the increased processing pressure on the liver. Alcohol (especially in large doses) works to greatly de-hydrate your body. Not to mention, alcohol is also rough on the liver. Although I have nothing substantial, I have heard and read of several cases of liver failure from a continuous mix of the two.
Don't get me wrong, I love to go out occasionally and drink heavily with my friends. I do, however, value my organs. I have now quit taking Creatine on any weekend I know will be a heavy drinking one. I would rather have a hang-over than liver failure any day.
Just something to think about.

I've noticed that my tolerance is much higher when I am taking creatine. If I take 5-10 grams before going out, I have to drink a lot before I feel anything.

You guy's are a couple of amateurs. Anyone who is serious about
about using Creatine, should also be serious about putting on mass.
A couple of weekend -ups are definitely going to affect your performance
in the gym. What about the extra work that your liver has to do
to cleanse itself from the alcohol that you have just forced into
it. Your liver should be the #1 organ besides your heart if you
have any for body building. Bodybuilding isn't just a muscle sport,
it's also a mind sport. If you don't have the mental balls to be
serious about it, go work out with the ladies.
