Question: I Am A Quadriplegic With A Torn Tricep Muscle. Will Creatine Help It Heal?

I'm a quad with c6/7 level of injury. I have a partially torn tricep muscle which is not getting any better despite over 1 month of rest. Will creatine be of help in my case?

Answer #1

Creatine is a natural product found in the body, and in red meat. Retailed creatine is merely a supplement. It would have no healing effect on your injury, since it only supplies the muscles with additional fuel to enhance performance. It does not promote growth directly, and definitely does not promote healing.

Good old fashioned rest will solve your problem, together with very light training being introduced over time.
