Creatine

I am a hard gainer and creatine has helped me a great deal in the past month. I work out with a friend who is quite the opposite of me. He is on the chubby side and it's hard (an understatement) for him to shape up. He does get strong on a regular non-supplemented work-out. Will creatine help him get in shape better and quicker (as it did for me)? Is there anyone out there who was on the chubby side and had tried creatine...and could you share with us your experience? Did it shape you up good, make you chubbier-looking, help you lose weight, or did nothing for you?
