Creatine

I'm half way through my first loading stage of creatine (around 15 grams a day for one week) and I must say I have been experiencing some anxiety immediately after I take it. It last for about 5 - 10 minutes. I get sort of jittery. Maybe it's the dose I'm taking. Like all other drugs, creatine affects people differently. Some people are less affected while others get kidney pain. I'm just going to reduce my dose to 5 grams a day. If the anxiety attacks continue...bye bye Creatine.

Why do it in the first place? The safest way to get stronger and bigger is the old fashioned work out. It builds your muscle groups and cardiovascular. It also teaches discipline!

Yeah, I get that too. But I wouldn't call it jitters or anxiety. It's more like a super-energy boost and a restlessness that compels my body to haul itself out the door and go work out. I see it as a positive thing.
By the way, I'm using the liquid form that doesn't require loading, and I only take it on the days I work out. I think that should avoid most side effects if you don't have to keep "loaded" with this creatine buzzing around in your system, even when you don't need it.
Be sure to drink LOTS of water.

Your anxiety could be psychological. You are expecting there to be an instant effect after taking creatine, so you are creating it yourself.
