Consumer Review: I Started Getting Heart Palpitations After Taking Creatine, And I Don't Think It's Just A Coincidence.

I took creatine for about eight months. I followed all of the recommended dosage instructions printed on the bottle and did the month on, month off approach. During the last cycle I did, I started experiencing severe heart palpitations. I quit taking creatine immediately, and the palpitations became less frequent. However, here it is over two months later, and I'm still getting them from time to time, especially when I ingest caffeine. My heart does skip beats. I'm not making this up - I had an EKG done by a cardiologist.

I did experience some positive results from taking the creatine. I gained about ten pounds of muscle and enjoyed the increased energy and stamina it brought me during a workout. However, the side effects I experienced are real. You can argue that the fact that I was taking creatine and experienced abnormal heart rhythms at the same time is pure coincidence. There is no concrete evidence that creatine is harmful to the human body. However, there is no concrete scientific evidence that it is not harmful.

You may take creatine and have only positive results. Good for you. But, the people on this page and hundreds of other people that may have had permanent damage done to major organs aren't making this stuff up. My heart may skip beats for the rest of my life. I hope it won't, but if it does I'm gonna be really pissed off. It's not worth taking creatine. It is not worth sacrificing your peace of mind and personal health for ten pounds of muscle.

I'm 20 years old an an avid weight lifter. I bought a container of creatine about a year ago and was starting to use it, but stopped due to fear of side effects. I've kept on training, and I love it, it is good for both body and mind. Recently, I remembered the container of creatine, and started thinking about taking it, but after much thinking and doing research and reading the experiences of people like you, who unfortunately paid a heavy price from using creatine, I decided to flush it down the toilet. Listen people, I've suffered through illness before, and gaining some extra strength and muscle is not worth you losing your health and suffering. You can gain size and strength naturally. Sure, it won't be as quick and easy as it might be taking creatine or some other substance, but in the end it'll be more than worth it, 'cause you'll know that you accomplished something on your own without using artificial aids. I know a lot of you guys are really overzealous about getting big and strong, but believe me, good health is something far more valuable.

I've been taking it for only a few weeks and there is no denying the energy boost and strength gained by it. But I recently woke up in the middle of the night with my heart racing and tense as I have ever been. Could not sleep and felt as though I was in the middle of a workout at 4 am. This is the kind of stuff that I have experienced with Creatine. I don't know if it's bad, but I don't know if it's worth the potential risks.

I was looking up and down the list of reviews and you have told my experience exactly! I have been on the Creatine for 1 month now. I have definite results as far as muscle mass is concerned, but I've been feeling my heart race, especially when I drink caffeine! My father is a physician and has recommended that I discontinue the use of Creatine immediately.
