Consumer Review: My Friends Get Light Headed And Dizzy When They Take Creatine.

Some of my friends are on creatine and I am very worried about them. They take the recommenced dose, however, when they are working out they get dizzy, lightheaded, faint, and sometimes sick to their stomachs. I first thought they were working out to hard and/or too much, but I found that they were actually working out less then before they started taking the creatine. I have tried to tell them that I do not think it is good for them no matter what effects it has had for other people, but they will not listen without concrete information regarding hazards and dangers with using a muscle builder. Are there any studies done where people have had similar results and show that creatine could actually be dangerous? Please let me know.

Thanx,
Amanda S.

I'm an 18 yr. old football player and weight lifter. I also get light headed, dizzy, and I vomit sometimes while working out while on it. I stopped taking it about a yr. ago and just started again and just today had the same things happen. I will stay on it for a while to see, but if it keeps happening I will get off again. But it's their choice if they want to feel bad while lifting and get better gains, or enjoy it with out the bigger gains.

You vomit because you took too much. Even if you took the recommended amount, you should cut down the grams. Instead of taking 5 grams 2 times a day, take 3 grams 2 times a day! The reason for the cramping is because you're not getting enough water!

Your friends are experiencing dehydration. Creatine draws water to the muscles, so you have to drink a lot more water or you will dehydrate. If they are on creatine then they should get at least 1 gallon of water a day and take the creatine after workouts.
