Creatine

My husband started taking creatine powder supplements a few weeks ago. He is jumpy and irritable and his hands tremble. He says he feels great, but he is also in competition with his "friend" to build up bulk. "I'm bigger than you are" is their game. How does a product that is found in RAW meat (trace amounts in cooked meat) and should not be taken as a supplement due to the high risk of negative side effects get put on the market? Men like my husband lack the logic to NOT take a product that will cause them harm as long as it gives them short term attention and envy from friends!!
