Consumer Review: We Have Seen An Increase In the Use Of Creatine By Students In A US Army Advanced Land Navigation Course And A Subsequent Increase In Adverse Effects.

I am a US Army Special Forces Medic assigned to a committee that runs an advanced land navigation course. The students in the course walk/run approx. 7-40 miles a day over mountainous terrain, with 45 LB packs, for about 3 weeks. It is a grueling course and few finish.

The point of this email is that lately we have seen an increase in the use of creatine by the students and a subsequent increase in adverse effects. Nausea, fatigue at the beginning of the day, muscle cramps for no apparent reason, and severe dehydration (even with heavy fluid intake) are a few of the more common side effects we are seeing.

I am looking for any SCIENTIFIC studies conducted on the use of creatine during endurance events like marathons, triathalons, eco- challenge or ultrathons. I have seen thousands of documents on weight lifting/power building and it is apparent that creatine works, to what end we don't know, for short bursts of energy? I am trying to compile a warning statement using a scientific base as a backdrop. I have not been able to find or talk to anyone who is knowledgeable on the subject other than personal testimony on the pro/con of creatine use. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There is a product out that does the same job with next to no complications. Note, you still have to drink great amounts of water, which is how the product works. It's called CreaVol by sport's farma. Try this, it works & you'll be pleasantly surprised.
