Creatine

After reading through all these e-mails I believe that creatine monohydrate is getting a bad reputation. I have been on creatine for 2 months now, and I have gained 16 lbs. I'm also taking whey protein powder. I find that creatine works great, and I have seen no side effects in the least. Of course, I have not been on the supplement for very long, but from what I can see, it works great. If you are thinking about going on Creatine, give it a shot, it works great!
I do have a question, right now I'm on my off-phase. I'm not taking creatine for a month to let my body recuperate from the "drenching" of creatine. Is this the right thing to do or does it not make any difference?
