Question: Is It Safe To Take Sam-e With Ginkgo And Ginseng?

I'm taking a daily 200 mg dose of Sam-e as well as a Ginkgo supplement as well as a Multi-Vitamin Ginseng Combo called Vitasana. I am curious to find out if there is any problem or side effect with taking all of these supplements together? I have been taking Ginkgo and Vitasana daily for the last 6-months without any side effects. Since I added the daily dose of Sam-e I am suffering from very dry mouth and lips. Where can I get information to see if this is a temporary problem or a serious side effect?

Thank you for any and all help.

Check with a registered dietitian and/or doctor, but it may just be that you are severely dehydrated. Drink at east eight glasses of water a day with your other daily fluid intake (juice, fruits, soda, etc.). If you have other side effects besides being "dry" you should stop taking this.
