Consumer Review: I'm A Woman On Hydroxycut. It's Helping Me Lose Weight, But It Also Makes Me A Grouch.

I'm 22 years old, 5'2", very small boned and 112 pounds. Female, too. I've been working out for about four months and, although I have noticed that my muscle mass is increasing, it is not at the rate that I'd prefer. I don't know if it has to do with my genes, but I've always had a difficult time in trying to build muscle mass. I also want to lose some of that unwanted fat and have especially been concerned about it when I took a fat percentage test. My percentage came out to be over that of my friend, who is male and weighs about 30 to 40 pounds more than me.

I've been taking hydroxycut, and so far I've seen some results. My appetite has decreased and I'm finding little by little definition on certain parts of my body. I haven't increased my dosage yet, but when I'm ready, it is my plan to do so. I've lost three pounds in the last month. My abs are finally showing from under that pesky layer of stomach fat. The thighs are showing more muscle too, and this is all on one pill a day for about 5 days a week!

Besides that however, I have noticed that the amount of sweat a day has definitely increased. I used to sweat a lot before, but now it's coming out in droplets. Also, I'm not usually one to give my temper free reign, but lately, I've been quite irritable and have lost my temper several times. I know this sounds silly, but if I can't overcome this side effect (it's bad enough that I have a naturally bad temper as it is), Hydroxycut is going to make me lose all my friends!

Another side effect is after I've expended all that extra energy, I go on a down trip of sorts. I'll take a pill before lunch, go into work, and have this tremendous energy. I'm lifting all our boxes all over the place, sweating like a pig, and fixing our store up like nothing. When I go to work out, I have endless amounts of energy and I'm actually motivated to go some pounds more than my usual set up. Then, a few hours after, I have absolutely no energy whatsoever. My boss had to tap me a few times to get my attention because I was spaced out at my desk. I wouldn't talk to anyone and seemed like I was brooding.

So, I do think hydroxycut is very effective towards the purpose of helping you to look fit and shedding pounds, but as in many things, you have to take the bad in with the good. Be ready to experience side effects galore! It's funny though, because the same person who suggested Hydroxycut to me is not experiencing a darned thing!

Women's body fat percentage is normally higher than that of men. Do not compare your body fat to that of a male friend - it tells you nothing about your own level of fitness. Also, in addition to the grouchiness you are experiencing from the Hydroxycut, an extremely low body fat percentage in a woman can cause amenorhea, meaning your periods stop. While this may sound appealing sometimes, it is really an indication that your body is experiencing an abnormal level of stress. Basically, it's a bad sign, and can cause health problems in the long term. Don't hurt your body's long-term health just so you can see your abs; 112lbs is an excellent weight for your height, and I'm sure that if you asked for others' opinions you would find that everyone already sees you as being in great shape just as you are.

DO keep working out, but don't expect your muscles to expand like men's. Testosterone, which is present in both men and women, is the primary determining factor in how easy it is to build muscle mass, and men obviously have a much higher percentages of this hormone than women do. So, assuming you DON'T want the side effects (masculinization and serious health/reproductive problems) that come with other options, you will simply have to learn to love the small, but lean and hard muscles you get from working out. Good luck, and good health!

Mary
