Question: Kava Kava Is Helping Me Get Off The Tranquilizer I Have Been Taking For Agoraphobia, Depression And Panic Attacks.

I would like to comment on the concurrent use of Kava Kava and Klonopin, which was prescribed by my doctor. I've been doing this for about 2 years now and feel that it has helped me. I suffer from agoraphobia with panic attacks, OCD, depression, and generalized anxiety disorder. Initially, I was misdiagnosed and placed on a major tranquilizer for quite awhile. Then, over a decade ago, the disorder agoraphobia began to make a showing on TV news specials, magazine articles, etc. Eventually, I went to a specialized clinic for treatment and was taken off the major tranquilizer and placed on a benzodiazepine. However, this presented problems in the form of habituation and I found a therapist who works with alternative medicines.

Kava Kava has enabled me to reduce my consumption of Klonopin (a tranquilizer) by 75 percent! It's wonderful. I encourage all sufferers to read the literature about this wonderful herb and try it out. It helped me. Please don't misunderstand. I will not go so far and say its a CURE for anxiety, but a safe, non-drug, therapeutic and EFFECTIVE TREATMENT.
