Consumer Review: I Couldn't Take Metabolife Because Of A Heart Problem, So I Found An All Natural Way To Lose Weight.

I used to be very thin (110 pounds at 5'7") but since I started working at the computer desk I gradually over 5 years time (and lots of fast food), put on close to 45 pounds. I didn't fit into any of my clothes! I never thought I'd lose weight without trying one of those pills or supplements, because I really tried hard to control the eating, etc. I thought about taking Metabolife but since I have a heart condition, was not about to try it.

But one evening, for some reason I went out and bought a pair of running shoes and went running. I couldn't make it up my 4 house cul-de-sac!! I was so out of shape! My shins hurt like crazy. But a few days later (like a crazy woman) I went out again and this time, out of frustration, ran a little further. Now, five months later, I can run for 40 minutes, walking part of the time to catch my breath, but running most of the time. I run in 35 degree weather in the pouring rain! I also work out to a work out tape some days to tone other muscle groups. Nike is right, JUST DO IT!

I do not take any drugs or supplements, the running gives me energy, increases the metabolism, and increases my appetite for GOOD foods. I eat less and am now starting to lose weight gradually. I have lost a good solid 8 pounds and wear one size smaller. I am not an exercise fanatic, I don't work out every single day - but I do run or work out at least twice a week - usually 3-5 times per week. I don't think it is a fad, it is a gradual lifestyle change which requires only a little motivation. If I (the #1 laziest person/couch potato in the world) can do this, so can YOU.

DRUG FREE is the WAY TO BE!

I wholly agree with the submission that you can lose weight on your own. I am years old and 2 years ago I successfully lost 70 pounds through a healthier diet, exercise and a love for myself. Recently, one of my best friends has found great weight loss success through Metabolife. I wish I could help her with her self esteem and teach her that she can do it on her own. I have read so much about the dangers of Metabolife. Although it is not proven medically dangerous it reminds me way too much of the other weight loss miracle drugs. People didn't know the risks of the drug until it was too late. Many people now are complaining of heart problems similar to those caused by the other drugs. I pray that people will find the strength inside themselves to lose weight the natural way. The ONLY natural way is through a carefully maintained diet and regular exercise. I hope you will think thoroughly about your future and what is really important to you before using any weight loss drug. Hopefully you will agree that your health is much more important than your waist size.

I agree completely. I was given a bottle of Metabolife to try, and after taking it for only one day I decided I'd better stop and do a little research. I felt like my pulse was racing and I couldn't sleep that night. I felt like my body was on fast forward. Don't get me wrong! I want to loose weight, but these changes made me a little concerned--especially after one day's dose. I didn't even realize that metabolife contains caffeine until I found this web site. I am a college student, wife, and mother of a 14 month old. I gained about 40 lbs during my pregnancy and have only lost 10 lbs. So, needless to say, I am just about desperate to loose 30 lbs or so. But I want to still be around after I loose the weight--which I will. Thanks for your comments--they have inspired me to try to loose the weight the natural way and to truly make a real change!

Thanks

I want to thank you! I was just doing some research about Metabolife and I read many different opinions and I was very confused. But, thanks to your letter, now I think that I was stupid! The miracle pills doesn't exist and only I can make a difference. Thank you. You have inspired me to drop this stupid idea!

Thank you for your inspiration. I also have 2 children (2 and 4 months). I went to my grocery store this evening to buy Metabolife (it was on sale for $19.99). Then I came home and found this site. I am overweight. I just couldn't seem to get motivated. But if a couch potato can do it without Metabolife so can I...hopefully. I will return the Metabolife to my grocery store. Maybe I'll get me a pair of walking shoes instead. Has anyone heard anything negative about Slim-fast? Does it really help?

Your story is an inspiration! Yes, gradual lifestyle changes with exercise are KEY in losing weight; indeed, exercise is crucial to all aspects of health.

But I literally CANNOT control my appetite without help. I cannot, and don't tell me otherwise. I've tried EVERYTHING. I just started taking a knock-off of Metabolife/Metabolift and I like it very much. Helps me stay on track and gives me energy.

I am so pleased to hear such sensible discourse on the topic of weight loss. Good for anyone who takes the challenge to lose weight. I have 4 kids and 2 step kids, ages 8-5 months. It is not easy to lose weight, but it is a battle we can all win. There will be good and bad days, but in the end you will come out a winner. If you use a supplement, metabolife/lift, you will never know if you did it on your own. You can do it!!! I used one a few years ago and had terrible chest pains whenever I was working out. I don't want to be thin just to make a good looking corpse.

Kristy
