| I have been taking MSM for 4 weeks now and the results are indeed a "miracle." I take 4 grams per day, spread out in 4 pills, 1 gram each, over the course of a day. I am a 60 year old male, ex-athlete, track distance runner who, for the last 25 years, has experienced great discomfort, stiffness etc. in muscles, joints,tendons etc. the day after workouts. This has gotten progressively worse as I have aged and has been a significant deterrent to almost ANY kind of exercise, even gardening. The day or two after a mild workout would be close to crippling! My Achilles tendons were particularly prone to tendonitis that would last for weeks.
After 2 weeks on MSM, I got up one day and it was like I'd had a dose of WD-40 throughout every joint in my body. I haven't looked back since. My mental disposition is brighter, my appetite for alcohol has diminished, my energy levels--mental and physical--are up, and I have been able to resume the kind of workouts I did 30 years ago. My strength levels are improving and, at this rate, I'll be back to the strength I had in my 20's within 2 or 3 months. My running speeds are improving and my weight is dropping steadily. I estimate I'm about 30 pounds above my old racing weight of 160-165 pounds. My blood pressures have fallen with the weight loss from 165/95 to 130/80 and continue to improve. My morning pulse has declined from 65-60 to 45-50. It used to be 35 in my 20's. I'll be interested to see what progress I can make back on the track. Any other old jocks out there with similar stories?
