Consumer Review: After Trying Noni Juice For 2 Months, I'm Convinced It Was A Waste Of Money.

I consumed 2 bottles of Noni juice over a 2 month period. I drank 30cc each day, without noticing any beneficial results. I would not recommend this product to anyone. Besides, it's too expensive.

If you think noni juice is a waste of money, ask yourself a few questions. What is your overall health? Do you suffer from any chronic conditions such as arthritis, high blood pressure, chronic fatigue syndrome, headaches, PMS, cancer, high cholesterol? If you have serious conditions, chances are you will feel the positive effects. If you are healthy in the first place, you may not realize that the noni juice may be building your immune system to prevent those nasty colds and flu. Maybe you don't realize you have high cholesterol and the noni juice is helping that. Point is, you don't always "feel" the effects.

The other question is, can you really judge the juice by just 2 bottles? Have you talked to other people that have had their lives changed by the juice? Well, I have, and the juice has changed my life too. You say it is too expensive. Well how much is your health worth to you? How much is a long, vital and healthy life worth to you? To me, it is priceless to be able to keep up with my small children all day and not be plagued with chronic fatigue as I have been for 10 years. It is worth it to me not to have daily headaches as I have for the last 3 years. A bottle of Noni juice costs less than one trip to the chiropractor. And it is worth it to me to know that my husband does not have the terrible allergy symptoms that he has suffered from for the last 35 years. To me and many, many people I know, Noni juice is truly a gift from god.

I agree that the price is absurd and that almost all of the research is mostly testimonial. Talk is very cheap. I have a sister who is selling the stuff and I think she is caught up in the fad. She believes all the testimonials, and I find it appalling that a company will not do or release any hard medical fact about the product. I have even heard people actually been asked to drop their prescription meds and take Noni instead, just on testimonial only.

If this miracle juice is so great, why isn't it in the headlines of major magazines and endorsed by the AMA (the American Medical Association). Are people taking a big risk prescribing this for major medical problems without a medical license? Get that person's name and address who prescribes the juice and tells you to drop the doctor-prescribed med. Then I am sure that person will think twice about doing so.

There are articles about the risks of taking Noni (which is high in potassium) in low-potassium diets, and they never warn people about that. I wrote to U. of Maryland for info on one of the authors who pushes the Noni juice, and they never heard of him there or at Johns Hopkins. Makes you think, huh? Medical cure or business venture?

When you buy any supplement, get it from a reputable dealer, not from the health food store on the corner. Health food stores may carry some products which are good products, but many are questionable. I have had excellent results with Noni from Neways International.

As one lady said, not everyone is going to have results with Noni. If your problem is caused by a nutritional deficiency, Noni may not help. At the same time, many people have had results using Noni for health problems. It is the same with medication, not every medication you try may work, you just keep trying until you or your doctor find one that helps. Also, you should give a supplement at least 3 months to see its effects. With some supplements, you may see the results sooner. Also, depending on the problem, you may need to take more, like if you are taking Noni for cancer. I have used Noni to heal injuries, stop profuse bleeding, burns, strengthen immune system, treat stomach cramps, headaches, PMS symptoms, etc.

After reading the negative responses to Noni, I have a few comments. First of all, most remedies which doctors do not make money on because no office visits are necessary to acquire prescriptions, are not endorsed by them. Several "herbal or homeopathic" remedies started out by being labeled as "snake oil" by doctors. These include glucosamine-chondroitin, MSM, etc. Now they are recommended.

The bottom line is, if the supplement helps you, then it doesn't matter what the cost or if doctors say its "OK." If it doesn't help you (which many prescriptions also don't always help or work), then don't take it. But many remedies have to be used longer than one month before benefits are felt. Also, a person with severe medical problems should investigate the side effects and how it will react to medication already being taken, before starting on any new product. I just started taking Noni capsules about a week ago. Some of my aches and pains from weight training are subsiding, but it's too soon to tell if it's the Noni or not. Will let you know.
