Weight Training

I am a 16 year old power lifter and I recently had taken a break to rest, and my back is real weak because every time I squat or dead lift my back starts to kill me.
PLEASE HELP OR GIVE ANOTHER DIAGNOSIS
|
Go see a doctor. Back injuries can stay with you for life.
A code amongst weight lifters is "No pain, no gain!" but if that ever applies, it only applies to muscles and not joints and bones. If you have consistent lower back pain you need to make sure you that you don't have problems with discs rubbing against each other.
On the other hand, it could be that your back muscles have weakened after your rest. If a doctor tells you that there is nothing wrong with your bones, try incorporating exercises that isolate and strengthen your lower back muscles.

Remember always to use a weight lifter's belt when your are lifting weights!! It's very important.
|
Are you using a back brace belt? If not, use one. It helps my back a lot. And if you have used one, I suggest less weight with more reps.
|
Don't use a belt. All they do is provide a false support, and all the muscles you would use to help to support you become weak. I recommend going light for a little while and working on your core (stomach and lower back) and really strengthen them because back pain can be caused by weak core muscles.
|
I've had back pain before, and if it is your lower back, it means that your hamstrings are not flexible enough and that you have not been stretching frequently. Try to stretch your legs more. Stretching is more important than most people think. Not only that, but stretching and flexibility does help strength.

Visit a chiropractor. A doctor will give you medicine, a chiropractor will adjust you and you will feel better within a half an hour. Trust me. I'm 15 years old and I powerlift and my bro's a chiropractor.
