Training Question: What Is The Difference Between Muscle Density And Muscle Bulk?

What is muscle density? What is muscle bulk? Is there a difference between the two. If so, what is it? I see some peoples' muscles which appear to me to be solid, dense. Other peoples' muscles appear to me to look as if they've been blown up, looking like a balloon. The muscle "quality" doesn't seem the same to me, even if one can be similar in build. Can you explain this to me?

Answer #1

Bulking up is different because, when your muscles are more dense, it means they are more toned. With bulking up you will be stronger.
