Training Tip: Here Is A Different Kind Of Ab Routine That Will Target Areas The Others Miss.

I read an article by a weight-trainer and physiologist who asked: "How often does a person use their ab muscles in the lying position?" He went on to say that this is fine for body-sculpting, but doesn't do much for one's athletic ability. I have found an exercise, done from your feet, that's worked great; it's created noticeable strength and definition:

Go to the cables; put on the "horn-shaped" bar; face away from it; grasp the bar and bend over, using only the ab muscles to bend as far as possible. I've seen this done from the knees, but how often does one use their abs in the kneeling position? I do 3 sets of 20, the last set to failure; I might only get 14-20 reps, until I nearly pass out. I still do crunches, leg raises, etc, but try this one and you'll feel sore in places that the traditional ab routines don't reach.
