Question: I Am A Female Firefighter Who Wants To Try Tribulus. Is This Supplement Safe For Women?

I'm a 38 year old female Firefighter who is just getting into weight lifting. I would like to decrease my body fat, build muscle mass and increase my strength. Can women take Tribulus to accomplish what I want without side effects? If not what products would you recommend?

Answer #1

Tribulus has been used for many years around the world to treat infertility and increase libido and more recently for bodybuilding to increase strength and size it works increasing (LH) Lutenizing hormone, a pituitary hormone that stimulates testosterone production in the male testis. In females it can produce or increase ovulation well.

Answer #2

Tribulus elevate testosterone levels in blood, so they are intended for men and not for women. I would suggest you plan a good diet with a lot of proteins and as supplements stay with the basic ones, protein powders and amino acids. I don´t suggest you take creatine as there is some evidence that it can be harmful to the body in excess.
