Consumer Review: GNC's Ultra Mega Green Prevented Stretch Marks.

For the past four years I have been bodybuilding. It has only been the last two that I have been taking creatine and whey protein and have seen tremendous gains. Along with these gains I have developed stretch marks under my "pits" and on top of my biceps region. The marks progressively became worse as my weight increased. It got to the point where I was considering that I may have to stop lifting all together. My advice from friends and nutritionist was to take a topical vitamin E ointment to fade the color. This helped turn pink stretch marks back to my normal skin color, however, the marks were still there.

Then one day, I went into my local GNC store and mentioned my problem to the sales clerk. Unlike advice I was given in the past, he recommended I take GNC's Ultra Mega Green. The reason had to do with it's enzyme content. Unlike, GNC's Mega Men and other vitamin supplements that do not contain enzymes, this is the only product that prevents stretch marks. I have seen amazing gains since then and no new stretch marks have appeared. The ones I had before will always stay but have not gotten any larger since I have taken this product. I cannot explain how it works, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone "lifting" that may have the same problem as I did or even someone whose pregnant and may develop stretch marks.

I'm a physician and there is no way to prevent stretch marks. If you're going to get them, you're going to get them and it baffles me why you would put credence in what the kid at the GNC told you. Usually, they just say things to move the products off the shelves that have been there a while.

Fortunately, our doctor friend is incorrect. Proper nutrition can help to maintain healthy skin. Healthy, well nourished skin tends to be more pliable, and that CAN help to prevent stretch marks. As for the Ultra Mega Green, it is a good multiple, and if things are working for you why change.

The doctor is right in one respect though. Some sales people will sell you products that they need to get out of the store. But some physicians have been known to prescribe antibiotics just to appease their patients even though they are expensive and unnecessary. I'll take my chances with the GNC guy.
