Question: My Friend Flipped Out When I Told Him I Was Taking Xenadrine To Lose Weight. Do I Have Reason To Worry?

Hello, I've been overweight most of my life and recently decided to try a supplement (along with a healthy diet and exercise of course) to help finally shed those pounds of fat. I went in to GNC and asked for the most hardcore fat burner they had and they told me Xenadrine. Today was day number 2 and I felt energized the entire day- so much that I couldn't sit down in one place for too long and I felt a constant craving for action and what not. When a friend asked why I was so antsy to get out and do something and I told him that I was on Xenadrine for fat loss he flipped out on me. He immediately began rattling off all of these potential side effects like it screwing up my heart with irregular beats and a bunch of scary stuff.

I'm really nervous now and as much as I'd like to shut out what he said and keep taking them to lose my fat I don't know. Does anyone have the real scoop about Xenadrine? I want to lose fat ASAP but what good will looking good do me if I'm half dead on the inside or something by the time I get there! Thanks.

Answer #1

I took Xenadrine for a few months and I suffered zero problems. I know a lot of guys who took it and said that they felt better with that than with Ripped Fuel because there was no caffeine. I talked to my doctor and he told me that irregular heartbeats might be an issue if you have had a history of it in your family or if you are too young.

It definitely can't be too much worse for your body than all the extra body fat. Besides, you didn't say you were having any bad side effects.

Answer #3

I have been taking this supplement for about 3 weeks now and I still have many of the same worries that you do. This is actually the first time I've really taken time to do a little research of my own after feeling really bad after my work out today. My main concern is the stimulant ingredient. I heard some really bad things about it messing with your kidneys and liver over prolonged use. I haven't had any BAD side effects, except for the moodiness and "crashes" at about 10 at night. I have lost 15 pounds so far though and my muscle definition is about 45-50% better than it was 3 weeks ago. Soooo...who knows?? That's the real question...who knows?? And if some one does know, please respond and let us all in on the answer. ;-)

Xenadrine is horrible. It doesn't work at all. I used this product for about 6 months and it didn't work. I watched my diet and exercised regularly. I believe from this I lost weight. About 2 weeks ago, I started taking Hydroxycut. Now here is a product that works. I am eating the same way and exercising and lifting the same amount and I am getting bigger. I was never fat, but overweight. Now I have a six pack starting. Hydroxycut is awesome, Xenadrine sucks. PERIOD!

Answer #5

I have been using Xenadrine on and off for about 4 months now. So far I have had no side effects except at the beginning when, on a couple of occasions, I took it on an empty stomach I felt jittery and moody. For you to really reap the benefits of Xenadrine, you MUST only use it as a supplement and keep up your sensible diet and your regular weight training sessions.

In the time I have used this supplement, it has helped me to drop from 260lbs to 235lbs. Keep in mind that I'm also gaining muscle mass (muscle weighs more than fat). I have had no side effects and I feel great.

This is how I use it: I take two capsules about 30-45 minutes before my workout, which includes a sensible weight training regimen and about 45 minutes to 1 hour of cardio. I then take ONE more capsule with my afternoon snack and that's it. Now, because of the ingredients in Xenadrine you might start to develop a tolerance for it and you may find that it no longer gives you the same boost of energy as when you first started taking it. I recommend that you take it for 3-4 weeks at a time and then come off it for 1-2 weeks.

Xenadrine may not work for everyone as we all will react differently to it. For me, Xenadrine DOES work. I have been overweight all my life as well, and at 25 I decided it was time to do something about it. You will not lose weight overnight with Xenadrine, but it will certainly give you the edge that you need in order to achieve your personal goals. Hope this helps....and as for those that say Xenadrine "sucks," remember that what may work for one person may not work for another. And last and certainly not least, consult your doctor to see if Xenadrine is right for you. Good luck and keep it up!
