Question: Is Xenadrine An Appropriate Weight Loss Aid For A Recovering Drug Addict?

I have just turned 40 years old and my BMI is 40! I am considered morbidly obese. I am 5'7" and weigh 260lbs. I feel exhausted and apathetic. I suffer with constant lower back pain and my feet hurt when standing for more than an hour. I have just about had enough. My son went to the nutrition store and purchase Xenadrine. He gave it to me and said it would help me. I have a voracious appetite and just couldn't stop eating. I always feel hungry. I began taking the recommended dosage and make sure I eat three meals. I am experiencing nervousness and some difficulty going to sleep. I cannot say if Xenadrine is helping me or not for I have only been using it for three days. Now that you know my situation...this is my concern. I am a recovering addict. Is anyone else in recovery that has tried this product and is okay with it or have they stopped taking it for fear of relapse. I need to know!

Answer #1

If you are a recovering drug addict you shouldn't be taking any type of drug. NA tells you this. There are other ways of losing weight. I used to weigh 304 pounds and had gastric bypass. I lost over 134 pounds. If you look into your insurance it might be covered. Most companies cover morbid obesity surgery. It was the best thing I ever did for myself. Look into it and stop taking this drug. That is what this is a DRUG. Good Luck.

Answer #2

I do not think that you should take xenadrine if you are a recovering addict. This drug is highly addictive and the withdrawal symptoms are very intense. Stay away from this product, give the bottle back to your son. I would suggest changing your diet and start to walk once a day.
