Consumer Review: Xenadrine Had Radically Different Side Effects On My Friend And Me.

I'm writing this short review about Xenadrine. Me and my close friend started taking it about 2 weeks ago. I'm 5"11" and weighed about 190 pounds 2 weeks ago, but have started losing weight already. I started off with the recommended dosage (4 pills a day) and suffered from light headaches and insomnia in the first few days. Then I was fine and my workouts have been great since then as well. I do cardio (30 minutes of treadmill 4 times a week) and light weight training 3 times a week and I'm feeling Xenadrine kicking in well.

As for my friend, he started off with a lighter dosage and had major health problems within the first few days. He collapsed twice at work and couldn't go to sleep at all and was jittery the whole time. He's gone off the dosage now and his health is back to normal.

What I'm saying is that this product is NOT meant for everybody. People who've been supplementing before wouldn't have a lot of problems, but for newcomers, PLEASE start off with a lighter dosage and test your body for Xenadrine's side-effects. If you think you can't handle it, get OFF it. Try some other product or something. Remember, losing weight/fat is good but it doesn't mean you have to kill yourself doing it!!

I think you are absolutely correct that Xenadrine is not for everyone. I've tried Ripped Fuel and that stuff altered my personality and made me very cranky. In taking Xenadrine, I've always been very good about proper exercise, however I haven't really done anything in the past month. I started taking Xenadrine about 5 days ago and have only lost maybe 4 pounds...it kind of goes up and down. I'm only taking 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon. I'm too afraid to take more than that, as my body is too sensitive. I do drink a lot of water every day, however it has cut my appetite in half and I find myself eating one big meal a day, which is usually about 4:00 or 5:00 in the afternoon. I now know to cut the coffee down or to drink decaf as after I drink two cups in the morning and take the one pill I feel a little pumped. I do, however, make sure I eat something one half hour after taking the morning dosage...toast or a couple pieces of bacon.

So far, it seems the only side effect I've had is cramping. The cramping started, ironically, about the same time I started taking Xenadrine, so I'm still not sure if it's the pill. I've gone from being a little constipated to a little diarrhea. I'm about 5'3 1/2 and weight 136 and want to loose about 10 more pounds. I know the exercise will help a lot more. So far, this slight side effect is one not mentioned. What do you think?

I have been researching the subject of Xenadrine for some time and I have read and reviewed many of the consumer products. I think people are neglecting to realize that not all diet pills work the same for everyone. Each person has a different body type and composition. With this in mind, when one diet works for one person, it may not work for the next.

After reading the ingredients and instructions on Xenadrine, consumers must realize that you cannot take the diet supplement (key word) and drink or eat caffeinated products. This would explain jitteriness, headaches, and lack of sleep. Also, with it being an "energy-type" pill, it will increase your body's normal metabolic rate and heart rate as well. This would also explain a faster heart rate. Keep in mind, the instructions suggest, if you are under a certain weight and are new to supplements, start out taking the pill in lower dosages. It also reads that you are not to take more than 4 pills a day.

Also, you cannot assume that this is a new wonder drug that will allow you to lose weight without any effort. Anyone with common sense starting a diet knows that in order to lose weight, a balanced diet along with exercise will help the process. You can't expect to be able to eat a pound of fat, take two pills, and wake up the next day losing 10 pounds. Keep in mind, when you lose weight, there is sometimes muscle loss. If you don't want the "flabby arm and leg" look, you will need to do exercise to regain muscle mass and create the firm physique.
