Consumer Review: I Got Heart Palpitations And Threw Up While Taking The Recommended Dosage Of Xenadrine.

I have only been taking the Xenadrine for a week. I started out at half a dose (1 capsule in the morning, 1 in the afternoon). I decided to take the regular dosage of 2 caps in the a.m. and 2 in the p.m. I threw up (at work) and I was jittery, and had heart palpitations. I weigh 155lbs. I plan on sticking to only 2 caps a day. My question is, will it work as well if I cut my dose in half? I have NO appetite whatsoever, but I manage to eat small amounts of food, and I exercise (not as regularly as I would like). I've lost 5lbs this first week, and I really want this to work, but not if I can't function on it.

I am currently taking the Xenadrine-RFA and have been for a few months now. I weight 125lbs and am a female. I only take 2 capsules a day...one in the morning and one in the evening before training. I haven't experienced any of this. You could be sensitive to the ingredients and should not be taking this type of fat burner. There are other choices out there that you could try. I'm sorry that it doesn't work for you cuz this is one good supplement.

I have been taking Xenadrine for a month now and so far it works! I lost a total of 20 lbs the first month. Just wanted to say that it really works!

You should try to take the minimum dosage for a longer period of time and then try to increase your dosage. If you still feel that you can't handle an increased dosage than stay with a dosage that you can handle. Not everyone can handle the maximum dosage.

I had a real bad headache and was bedridden for almost 3 full days. It is dangerous stuff. I recommend that no one takes the suggested two pills. You might be in for some serious consequences.

I am also a user of Xenadrine, and I can speak of its amazing effects. Xenadrine is a truly amazing supplement -- it suppresses hunger, gives you energy, and makes you feel like a million bucks (especially after you see yourself in the mirror after the first few weeks). However, its effectiveness does not come without side effects. I would not suggest taking the recommended dosage in the manner described; rather, try staggering your pills -- take one at breakfast, one an hour later, one an hour after that, and then one just after lunch. You're still getting the same amount of supplement in your system, except you're giving your body more time to get used to it and spreading it out so it can deal with it better. I don't feel that this method of taking the drug is any less effective than taking it in two larger doses. Just make sure not to take it later than the early afternoon or else you'll be up until four watching "I Love Lucy" reruns and infomercials.

Further, for those of you just starting to take it, definitely start at half dosage, taking one with breakfast and just one after lunch for at least the first week. When you stop feeling nervous and jumpy, your body is telling you its acclimated and you can start taking more. If the feelings don't go away, I would suggest you stop taking it altogether. I would also advise you not to drink any caffeinated drinks while on it. It's too much for the body to handle. Good luck!
