Consumer Review: Xenadrine Helped Me Lose Weight, But I Stopped Taking It Because Of The Side Effects.

I have a really bad feeling about Xenadrine's long term effects. I stopped taking it in the late fall. I went through 2 bottles of it, taking the recommended dose and it did what it said it would. It also gave me strong headaches at times, heart palpitations, and nervousness. There has been much talk about stimulant-based products and heart attacks and stroke. I highly recommend NOT taking this type of pill until much more testing has been done on it. These type of supplements are very new and not really proven to be free of lasting side-effects. The simple questions and comments alone on this site tell me something is not right about it.

As hard as it can be to do, I suggest you try to lose the weight the old way. Proper diet and exercise. Doctors recommend losing only 2 pounds a week on a smart regimen. These stories of losing 5-15 lbs. in a week do not sound too kosher. By the way, I lost 22 pounds in 2 months on Xenadrine and gained back 10 after I got off of it. I'm now back to running and trying to eat better and have lost 5 pounds in 3 weeks the tough way. I want to lose about 15 more. Good luck.

I used Xenadrine for four days and experienced a panic filled situation. I took one pill for lunch and another pill three and a half hour later. I was dizzy, sweating, and nauseous with difficulty breathing. Although in this condition, I went to workout anyway. I got through my workout dizzy, sweaty and nauseous. I went to sleep with a headache and woke up the next day with a major headache. I could barely get out of bed. I was really dizzy with nausea for the next three days. I basically was in bed for two days after this episode. This is some scary stuff. I am still trying to get over this. It's like someone fried my central nervous system and my brain. I am still getting over this stuff. Thousands of people are having major complications from this stuff and other stimulant products. Strokes, heart attacks, kidney failure and death.

Response #2

Okay, today's my first and last day on Xenadrine. I feel like I wasted $40, but my health is worth so much more than that. I was looking for something that would help me lose weight despite my busy schedule that doesn't allow me to work out as much as I'd like and makes it so much easier to grab a cheeseburger when I'm on the road. It's not worth it, though. I'm not saying we should never work out or binge on junk food all the time. That's not healthy. But what about just accepting ourselves and each other just the way we are and encouraging healthy habits instead of being skinny or muscular at any price?

You know, to be honest, I have been sitting here reading all the different descriptions people give about Xenadrine and only one thing seems clear: everyone is different. Whether it's Xenadrine, Ripped Fuel, Creatine, etc., some people will experience bad side effects, others good.

I have been on the drug for about three weeks so far. I take one pill in the morning and two pills before I workout. If I know I am going to take the day off as far as exercise goes, then I don't take any that day. Of course, this sort of pill is going to make you feel sick if you don't do anything with the excess energy it gives you. It was meant to be used to stimulate you and give you more energy for your workouts, not for you to replace your healthy diet and exercise. I don't weigh myself because I don't believe that weight is important. How I look and how I feel about myself is the true measure of my success. With Xenadrine, I have seen a change in both my appearance and my workout performance. Instead of going 15-20 minutes, I can go an hour on certain machines. Instead of staying at the gym for two hours, I stay there for four. I challenge myself more now than I ever have, and I really feel great about it.

While reading some of the responses about this product, I often wonder how the people are utilizing the drug. Eating healthy is also a large part of feeling great. I also know that I don't feel well if I haven't had a proper diet that day. Skipping meals can cause anyone to become sick, with or without Xenadrine. And after going off any drug, if you don't keep up your diet and exercise, of course you're going to gain the weight back.

My main point about this drug is simple. Everyone is different and may have different results. Most of the time people don't consult their physician before starting a weight loss program, so in fact their bodies could reject the drugs in some way. If you choose to take Xenadrine or any other diet pill you should always research it, try it out, and decide if it is right for you. Don't go by what other people say. The criticism of others is useful in determining a bias, but should never go over personal experience.

Xenadrine is not a magic drug. I am tired of reading responses from people who take this drug and don't exercise or eat right. You MUST exercise and eat a healthy diet while taking the RECOMMENDED dosage of Xenadrine. For those of you who are taking this supplement by itself and expecting the fat just to melt off of you with no further effort, forget it. If you take Xenadrine, eat enough food, and exercise, you should not be having too many issues with this supplement. I take two pills a day, exercise every day except Sunday, and keep my calorie intake at around 1700. I find this is working well for me. Don't blame the drug for your side effects. And don't blame the drug for your weight gain. Only you can be responsible for that. Don't put all your hopes and dreams of a better body on one single pill. You only set yourself up for failure when you do so.
