Consumer Review: While In Kuwait, I Became Aware Of People Using Creatine Citrate Instead Of Monohydrate.

Editor's Note: We receive many reports from supplement industry insiders who are attempting to use this web site to sell their products. Fortunately, we are usually able to detect such reports and prevent them from being posted. In some cases it is difficult to determine if a report is from an unbiased consumer or a supplement industry insider trying to move product. The report below came close to setting off our crap detector, but in the end we decided to post it. It is possible that the report is from an unbiased consumer. Over time, the aggregate of all input from our readers reveals the truth about nutritional supplements because the vast majority of our readers are unbiased consumers. After you read the report below be sure to click here for another viewpoint before making your purchasing decisions. We welcome quality information from people in the supplement industry as long as they explain their relationship to the supplement industry up front.

I would like to take this opportunity to inform other consumers in the weight lifting world about another alternative to creatine monohydrate. However, I'm still talking about creatine, but it's a better form of creatine. It's called creatine citrate, and I can state from personal experience with both monohydrate and citrate that citrate works twice as good.

I had been using creatine monohydrate off and on for about a year prior to being assigned 3 months in Kuwait. While in Kuwait, I became aware of people using creatine citrate instead of monohydrate. I, of course, was very interested in change since it had seemed that I had plateaued. I began loading on creatine citrate just as I had on monohydrate.

I can honestly say that by the time I had returned home I had gained 20 pounds and improved my bench press by over 40 pounds. This was an exceptional improvement considering I had reached a plateau for nearly 3 months. I improved greatly in other areas as well. My energy levels seemed to always be high. My gains in weight and strength must be considered amazing due to the fact I was also averaging over 22 miles of running a week at 6 min. and 20 second pace!

Unfortunately, on my return to the United States, I had a hard time finding citrate. I don't accredit all of my gains to creatine citrate, however. Nutrition played an equally important role in my improvement. However, I believe creatine citrate provides a bigger boost in development than monohydrate. I can only advise others to try it for themselves.
